Rev. Julie Forest delivered this sermon on August 19, 2007.  What is required of us?  Ethics involves doing the right
thing, but what does that mean in a world more relative
than absolute, more grey than black and white?  This is the
sermon in response to Gregory Cook and Arlene Wade's request, as a result of their bid at the Cedars auction in 2006.

At Cedars, we chose to commemorate "Association Sunday" on October 28, 2007, and Interim Minister Rev. Julie Forest devoted her sermon to a reflection on the work of the Unitarian Universalist Association and our UU principles, values and mission, including some rousing encouragement to engage in the social justice issues of our time.   We join hundreds of other UU congregations as we celebrate our faith and strengthen the infrastructure of our Association.

On Sunday, October 21st, 2007, Guest Minister Rev. James Kubal-Komoto delivered a sermon titled: "How to Be a More Spiritual Person in 15 Minutes a Day or Less (or Thank God, I'm Not a Penguin)."  Spiritual growth is supposed to be what a Unitarian Universalist congregation is all about, but many Unitarian Universalists are uncomfortable with anything that seems too “woo woo,â€? so what does it mean to grow spiritually from a liberal religious perspective? And can it be done in 15 minutes a day or less?
